In a Los Angeles area, two young men steal purses and hurt the people they rob. Before the story starts, the announcer gives a long speech to thank everyone who helped make the show during its first year. When the story ends, the Chief of Police of Los Angeles tells the show they did good work.

Dragnet is an American radio series, enacting the cases of a dedicated Los Angeles police detective, Sergeant Joe Friday, and his partners. The show took its name from the police term "dragnet", meaning a system of coordinated measures for apprehending criminals or suspects.
