Audition
Hoot Gibson, who has starred in more than 300 movies, runs a radio show where cowboys show off their talents. Three people compete to win silver spurs, a record deal, and a chance to test for movies in Hollywood. Eddie Dean, a special guest, performs a song called "The Hills Of Old Wyoming." Les Thompson wins the competition. He is a former soldier who plays boogie woogie music on an electric harmonica. The two people who don't win are singer Wally Imes and a group called The Pine Ridge Sisters, made up of Bernie and Rusty.
“Audition.” Win Your Spurs. Radio broadcast, April 7, 1952.
