Tower Playhouse

The initial Jim French Seattle radio series was a short-run anthology series called The Tower Playhouse; the name came from the KVI studios being in the Smith Tower Building. The shows covered a wide range of genres: science fiction, the supernatural, espionage, crime and even a western. In general it was similar to French's later series Crisis. Most performers were staff members of KVI, not professional actors; Jim French was director, producer, writer, and also acted and functioned as the announcer/narrator. Re-runs of the first nine episodes aired on Saturdays from November 4, 1972 through January 6, 1973.
