# Sherlock Holmes: His Last Bow This story shows Sherlock Holmes during World War One. Holmes comes out of retirement to help the British government catch a German spy. Working with his friend Watson and a British agent, Holmes sets a trap to catch the spy before he can pass secret information to the enemy. The tale shows Holmes at his best, using his sharp mind and clever plans to win against those who want to hurt Britain. In the end, Holmes reveals his true feelings about his country and decides to leave his detective work behind for good.

The Newly Discovered Casebook of Sherlock Holmes is a BBC Radio 2 comedy series written by Tony Hare. It starred Roy Hudd, Chris Emmett, Jeffrey Holland, and June Whitfield, and was broadcast between 16 January 1999, to 20 February 1999. It has since been re-broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra.
