Make a Wish

The show starts with 'The Habanera Song' by Herbert. Next, Gertrude Berg calls in from Hollywood to talk about the movie 'Make A Wish,' which she wrote, and the audience hears songs from it. The Revelers perform 'The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down' while Frank Black plays piano. John B. Kennedy reports live from the Boy Scouts Jamboree in Washington, D.C., where he talks to Scouts from all over the country. The Goldman Band takes the stage to play the final part of the 'William Tell' overture and a special mix of songs perfect for the 4th of July. From Hollywood, Irvin S. Cobb gives a funny talk about how people celebrate the 4th of July. The program ends with the New York ensemble and the audience all playing and singing 'The Stars and Stripes Forever' together.
