# Radio Episode Plot Summary A man sits at his piano in the darkness and wonders if life is already decided for us, or if we have choices to make. As he plays, he hears the voice of a young girl. When she appears, her name is Joan. She becomes very important to his life and agrees to be his daughter. However, there's a sad twist—she will only be his daughter for eight years. The man learns not to ask too many questions about who Joan really is or where she comes from.

Quiet, Please! was a radio fantasy and horror program created by Wyllis Cooper, also known for creating Lights Out. Ernest Chappell was the show's announcer and lead actor. Quiet, Please debuted June 8, 1947, on the Mutual Broadcasting System, and its last episode was broadcast June 25, 1949, on the ABC. A total of 106 shows were broadcast, with only a very few of them repeats.
