This summer 1943 broadcast features numerous soldiers identified by G.I. nicknames, including one who requests the sound of a beer bottle opening, with "Four Or Five Times" as the opening number. Freeman and Gosden perform as Amos 'n' Andy, and pianist Jose Iturbi plays "Fantasy Impromptu" before receiving a humorous piano lesson from Andy. A similar script was later used on The Amos 'n' Andy Show on October 5, 1943, and on the Christmas Reunion episode on December 25, 1943.
