The Haunting Hour
Description
This is another example of the mystery/suspense series of the 1940s. It ran for a year with 52 episodes. It never had a national sponsor but was syndicated for its entire run. None of the remaining programs give credit to the cast, writers, producers, directors or anyone connected with the show. It began with the ominous 'No. No. Stay where you are. Do not break the stillness of this moment. For this is a time of mystery, a time when imagination is free and moves swiftly forward... swiftly, silently. This is... The Haunting Hour'. It closed with 'From shadows and stillness, mystery weaves a spell of strangest fascination, charging the mind with doubts and fear, for mystery is a strange companion, a living memory in... The Haunting Hour.' All 52 Haunting Hours are in circulation.
