Vox Pop
Description
Vox Pop was a radio interview and quiz program built around street-level conversations, human-interest questions, and portable microphones. Launched in Houston in 1932 by Parks Johnson and Jerry Belcher, it expanded nationally and ran into the late 1940s.
Vox Pop is a popular radio program of interviews, quizzes and human-interest features, sometimes titled Sidewalk Interviews (1936) and Voice of the People. It was heard from the early 1930s to the late 1940s.
