Sci-Fi Radio
Description
SCI-FI RADIO was a modern science fiction anthology radio series, heard over National Public Radio stations. Like X MINUS ONE and DIMENSION X, it dramatized some of the best science fiction in print by some of the best authors of the day, including Poul Anderson, Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, Ursula K. LeGuin, Walter M. Miller, Jr., Robert Silverberg, Robert Sheckley and Roger Zelazny. The entire series was produced by Kevin Singer. Each of the 26 broadcasts were 30 minutes in length. Some stories were done in two parts, spanning 2 shows; some shows offered a short story opener followed by part one of a 2-part story. Since this is a modern series, the shows are not easily found and have never been commercially released. Off-the-air recordings of all 26 shows are available among collectors.
Sky Sci-Fi, formerly the Sci Fi Channel and Syfy UK, is a British pay television channel owned and operated by Sky Group, a division of Comcast.
