Thanksgiving Dinner

# Radio Episode Summary The show begins with an announcer explaining that Joyce Jordan is facing a difficult first case in her new office. When Sara, a laundry worker, suddenly gets sick and passes out in the office, Joyce and Dr. Alexander Gray quickly help her. They cover her with a blanket and ride with her in an ambulance to Hotchkins Hospital, where they wait by her bed. Sara hasn't woken up yet. Dr. Gray believes Sara might not survive, but as soon as he leaves, Sara starts talking to Joyce. Dr. Tracy calls the room and tells Joyce she can go home. When Joyce gets home, she finds Mrs. Wilcox waiting for her. Mrs. Wilcox explains that she was excited about her new apartment and hired a new cook. One day her husband Bob called to say he'd be about twenty minutes late for dinner. When he arrived, he smelled like perfume and had lipstick on his collar. Joyce's patient Sara refuses to tell who hurt her. Mrs. Wilcox wants to save her marriage by adopting a child. Joyce mentions she knows a pregnant woman who might give up her baby. It turns out Sara has told Joyce she never wants to see her own baby. Two questions remain unanswered. First, Dr. Gray calls Joyce "darling" before hanging up.
