This Christmas-themed program features The Merry Macs performing "Pass The Biscuits, Mirandy," followed by Jerry Colonna, Dinah Shore, Garry Moore, and Jimmy Durante discussing "Anchors Aweigh" or "I Can Row, Canoe?" The AFRS Commandant makes his first appearance on the network to thank Marlene Dietrich for her service, and Dietrich performs "Lili Marlene." Edgar Bergen directs Charlie McCarthy in a recitation of "The Night Before Christmas," while the Homer Hall Chorus performs Christmas carols, and the program concludes with recorded holiday greetings from President Truman.
