The series begins with this episode. Years ago, John Hendrix used an axe to murder his wife and slow-witted stepson while trying to take their cash. After breaking out of prison and coming back for the money, weird things happen in a creepy home. Gale Gordon plays "The Whistler." Dorothy Roberts made the spooky whistle sounds that opened and closed every show from start to finish, though she only gets credit this one time.
