John Devon Roland Pertwee, known professionally as Jon Pertwee, was an English actor. His best known television roles included the third incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor Who and the title character in Worzel Gummidge. He also played various characters in the BBC Radio sitcom The Navy Lark (1959–1977).
