Behold a Corpse

Ralph Connor vanishes and stays gone for five years. When he finally comes back, his wife doesn't believe he's really her husband. A private detective working for the husband then grabs the private detective working for the wife. There's an old saying that goes something like this: if you give a bad guy enough freedom, he'll mess up and get caught. That idea usually works out pretty well, but there's one problem with it. What happens when the person giving out that freedom is actually the one who's supposed to catch him?
