Omm Janie

This radio show tells the life story of Jan Smuts, a South African leader. During the Boer War, he became famous as a war hero. He played an important role in creating the Union of South Africa. When World War One started, he served as a British general. He also helped set up the R.A.F., which is the British air force. Later, he represented South Africa at the League of Nations. Eventually, he became Prime Minister of South Africa.
