Battle of Hastings

On October 14, 1066, a major battle took place. This was the Battle of Hastings, where William the Conqueror and his Norman army fought against King Harold Godwinson and the English forces. William's men won the fight, which changed the course of English history. King Harold was killed in the battle, and William went on to become the King of England.
