In the midst of a snowstorm, Joan and Skip Bartram are forced to take an unfamiliar road which leads them to Taylortown, a ghostly village of inexplicable occurrences. The mystery is not solved until they reach Joan's home and discover a miniature replica of the town beneath the Christmas tree.
A business trip gives Skip and Joan Bartram a company-paid opportunity for a long-delayed Christmas reunion with Joan’s family. But as they near Joan’s hometown, their car skids off the icy road on a lonely strip of highway. The couple find shelter in a deserted small town that brings forgotten memories back to Joan.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
