A Magical Place

During a summer vacation at a cottage they cherished 25 years ago, a couple finds their happiness disturbed by disembodied voices that echo their past quarrels and resentments. They must confront their problems to save their marriage, and they leave the cottage with a new understanding of themselves and of each other.

Timothy and Elinor Elkins, both in their fifties, unhappy with their marriage and hoping to recapture the joys of their youth, visit the house they rented as newlyweds. Surprisingly, the house has changed little and is available again, so the Elkins rent it. They are delighted at first by the young voices they hear recalling their earlier pleasures, but become horrified when their efforts to restore the cottage are thwarted, and the voices persist.

A husband and wife return to their favorite cottage after 25 years for a summer getaway, but mysterious voices from nowhere start repeating their old fights and bitter feelings. To keep their marriage together, they have to face their real problems head-on, and when they finally leave the cottage, they understand each other and themselves much better than before.
