A Message from Space
Description
In a quaint English village, a skeptical reporter is sent to investigate a rash of UFO sightings. He meets a mysterious girl who urges him to digs deeper into the area's enigmas. The reporter's curiosity leads him to witness a strange phenomenon and ultimately to a momentous decision that transforms his life.
An American newspaper sends an ace reporter, Pete Herron, to Warminister, England, with orders to make those who claim to be seeing UFOs look foolish. While there, Herron runs into Bryce Bond, an authority on ufology, and to his astonishment, witnesses with Bond the landing of a flying saucer in a wheat field. What makes completing his assignment even more difficult is his meeting Maru, one of the spaceship’s crew members, with whom he immediately falls in love.
A doubtful news writer travels to a charming English town to look into multiple UFO reports. There he encounters a puzzling young woman who pushes him to explore the local mysteries further. His growing interest causes him to see an unusual event and finally make a life-changing choice.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
