Alien Presences

While Jem and Ruth Hardin are driving in a thunderstorm, they see a flying object crash-land and burn. Looking for survivors, they find a baby boy Ruth wants to adopt. Jem says okay unless they hear news of a missing infant. They don’t and, after years of raising the child (they’ve named him Moses), all is going well with the Hardins. But they do begin to worry about Moses’ normality when he reaches seven feet, six inches and is still growing.

In 1958 Nebraska farmland, the caring Harden family lives peacefully with their adopted son Moses. But then disaster hits. Ruth passes away, and Jim tells the boy he might be from a different planet. Moses turns his back on his alien roots and chooses to start fresh with Andaria, a woman who comes from the same place he does.

In the rural expanse of 1958 Nebraska, the kind-hearted Hardens find solace in their simple life together with their adoptive son, Moses. Then tragedy strikes. Ruth dies, and Jim shows to the boy that he may be from another world. Moses finally rejects his alien heritage and decides to forge a new path with Andaria, a woman of similar origin.
