Appointment in Uganda

A businessman lies in a hospital bed and falls into a strange sleep where he dreams he becomes an elephant living in Africa. The other elephants in his dream show him how important it is to stick together and be strong, helping him learn to value life in a whole new way.

Harry Kantor, a hard-driving businessman, is hospitalized after a heart attack but is still unwilling to relax. During an argument with his business partner, Harry's heart stops and he experiences rebirth as a baby elephant named Abu. His mother, Kaylin, and another elephant, Bombeen, teach him the gentle and generous ways of the herd, while an older male, Noor, tells him the elephant philosophy of death. When his heart is revived, Harry is a changed man, wondering if he just dreamed the experience, or whether he just witnessed reincarnation.

The story of a businessman who, while in a hospital, drifts into a twilight state and dreams he is an elephant in the African jungle. His new companions teach him the importance of community and strength and point the way to a new appreciation of life.
