Blackmail

Three blackmailers try to extract a fortune from a young movie star with a photo they have of her embracing a notorious mobster. Maidey Rambeau, a fast-rising young film star, can’t figure out how the blackmailers obtained the photo. She doesn’t want to pay the $100,000 being demanded, but her good friend, her hairdresser, believes that if she doesn’t, her image as “Miss Clean” will be destroyed. Tony Carbo, wanted for hijacking and murder, claims he can straighten everything out. Maidey is interested.
