Bloodline

In a small office, Lewis Olcott, a quiet man with the air of a successful stockbroker, is forced to confront his identity when a stranger insists he is the Taximar, a chieftain destined to lead his people in the Balkans. Lewis's skepticism battles with a deep-seated curiosity, and he embarks on a reckless path of embezzlement and self-destruction.

Lewis Olcott works quietly in a small office and looks like a successful stockbroker, but a stranger shows up claiming Lewis is actually the Taximar, a chief meant to lead people in the Balkans. Even though Lewis doubts this crazy story, he can't stop thinking about it, so he starts stealing money and making choices that ruin his life.

Lewis Olcutt, of a prominent investment family, is caught reducing his firm’s bank account by several million dollars. He claims his once-magic touch with money declined into embezzlement from the shock of discovery that he was adopted into, not descended from, the Olcutt financial dynasty. The missing millions are in the hands of two con artists who convinced him to steal the money for his true heritage: a Balkan kingdom.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
