Bouncer Dugan, nearing retirement as one of New York City’s finest, is sent to guard King Zophrana of Murania during his visit to the United Nations. Dugan soon becomes suspicious of the king’s regal qualifications, certain he’s seen his face before—as Carleton Billingham Drake, otherwise known as “Charlie,” the Actor, an escaped murderer. His young sergeant thinks Dugan is wrong, until Dugan manages to get the “king’s” fingerprints on a drinking glass.

A man claiming to be the King of Morania shows up in New York with a beautiful woman. Bouncer, a tough street cop, thinks the king is fake. When Doria pretends to be a kitchen worker but turns out to be Colonel Doria, Bouncer must work fast to catch her and rescue the real king.

The King of Morania appears in New York, accompanied by a lovely girl. Bouncer, a streetwise cop, believes the monarch is an impostor. When Doria, posing as a palace cook, shows her true identity as Colonel Doria, Bouncer races against time to expose her and save the real king.
