Confession
Description
The air is heavy in the spa town, famous for its healing waters. David Saville, a thoughtful young architect, finds himself amidst a turmoil of regrets. Haunted by dreams and memories, he grapples with guilt over a moment he failed to act against John Guest, his stepbrother Edgar's rival. Edgar, a burly man whose health wanes, seeks justice against Guest. David's heart, however, is entangled with Laura, Guest's daughter.
Easygoing David Saville hardly knows his wheeler-dealer stepbrother Edgar, more than twice his age. So, when David invites his older brother to join him at a resort, he has no idea that Edgar will turn the vacation into a bitter confrontation with a slightly dishonest business associate. Edgar forces David to join the confrontation, not knowing that the businessman’s daughter has become the object of his affection.
In a spa town known for its healing waters, the atmosphere feels thick and troubled. David Saville, a caring young architect, struggles with deep regret. Bad dreams and painful memories torment him because he feels guilty about not standing up to John Guest, who fights with his stepbrother Edgar. Edgar, a big man getting sicker, wants to get back at Guest. But David has fallen in love with Laura, who happens to be Guest's daughter.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
