Description
A New York taxi driver discovers a bag of diamonds and gets pulled into dangerous criminal activity in this drama that reveals how strong his marriage is and how brave his wife becomes when they face trouble that could destroy their happy life.
Frank Grove, because it’s a slow day, agrees to drive a well-dressed businessman to an address in the South Bronx, a trip a lot of cabbies refuse to make. It wasn’t such a good decision, however, because Grove soon realizes he’s trapped between two gangs of diamond thieves, one expecting him to deliver a bag containing $250,000 of the jewels, the other watching every move he makes.
This drama about a New York cab driver who finds a pouch of diamonds and is drawn into a web of crime shows the strength of his marriage and the courage of his wife as they confront a crisis that threatens their happiness.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
