Fallen Angel

A troubled author gets locked up in a mental hospital following a fight at a bar. His loving wife and doctor work together to help fix his mind and bring back his writing skills, which drinking has destroyed. Following a final battle with his inner troubles, his inspiration comes back, and he starts writing again with fresh energy.

Author Lawrence Maitland senses his muse has deserted him and waits in a bar for her return. Young writer Jason Jones approaches but gets punched. Jones calls police and Maitland wakes up in a sanitarium under a psychiatrist's care. He sees little hope of finding his angel until Jones visits and believes in her existence.

A disturbed writer is confined to a sanitarium after a barroom incident. His devoted wife and psychiatrist try to restore his mental balance and revive his creativity, which has been dulled by alcohol. After a climactic confrontation with his demons, his 'angel' returns, and he resumes writing with renewed vigor.
