Guilty as Charged
A CBS Radio drama about people trapped by legal troubles. This episode follows a man wrongly charged with theft. His buddies and attorneys work to prove his innocence, as he battles hopelessness and the terrible worry that maybe he really did it.
Frederic Lewis. Gene and Jane Fowler are hard-working, honest people who believe in the justice system and wouldn’t think of stepping over the line. However, in a matter of just a few short hours, Gene is accused of armed robbery and kidnapping and placed in jail to face criminal charges. The burden of proof is on Gene, while his double is still free to commit more crimes.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
