Dr. Winifred Prentice, a dedicated sociologist in her forties, leads a life filled with research and solitude. Her routine work and quiet evenings highlight her deep sense of unfulfillment. Her world tilts when she meets Paul Jones, whose genuine affection clashes with his early deceit. She must choose between her heart and her ethics.
Forty-something sociology professor Dr. Winifred Prentice spends her days buried in research and her nights alone, feeling empty despite her successful career. When she falls for Paul Jones, a man who truly cares for her but lied to her from the start, she faces a tough choice between following her heart and sticking to her principles.
Dr. Winifred Prentiss, an engineer working on a secret project for the government, has lately become fretful and defensive, sick of going out with the girls. Now 40 and not a beautiful woman, she’s always been a bridesmaid, never a bride. On a lark she visits a singles bar and meets “the man.” It’s love at first sight, and he proposes. She doesn’t care why and is completely happy, until he asks to borrow $10,000 and demands to know all about her secret project.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
