High Caqueta

A telegram from Ecuador rekindles the hope of Don and Meg Bledsoe, who have been searching for their daughter Jill, lost in the jungles near Mount Kaketa. They enlist the aid of Mr. Hodges, a reluctant consulate official, but their quest is fraught with danger and new mysteries.

Don and Meg Bledsoe get a telegram from Ecuador that gives them new hope about finding their daughter Jill, who went missing in the jungle near Mount Kaketa. They ask Mr. Hodges, a consulate worker who doesn't want to help, to join their search. But their hunt for Jill becomes dangerous and full of strange new puzzles.

New Hampshire residents Don and Margaret Bledsoe get little response from their congressman, senator or the State Department regarding the disappearance of their daughter, who last wrote that she was in Equador and planning to climb Mt. Caqueta in the Andes. So they go to South America to conduct their own research. However, when the American consulate there reveals that other Americans have been lost on Mt. Caqueta and offers to join the Bledsoes on their climb, Don suspects that this is all part of a sinister plot he can’t quite explain.
