Hurricane

Martin and Fran Halliday take shelter from bad weather in a lonely beach house. Their quiet time ends when a scared young man named Ronnie Prentice tells them his dangerous friend Joe Carrington wants to kidnap him for money. The Hallidays and Ronnie must fight against the storm and Carrington's deadly plans.

Seeking shelter from the storm outside, Martin Halliday, a high school counselor, and his wife Fran come across a beach cabin and manage to convince revolver-toting Joe Carrington to allow them to wait out Hurricane Donna in his Florida beach cabin. With Carrington is young Ron Prentice, who manages to tell Fran he has been kidnapped. But when the Hallidays’ scheme to relieve Carrington of his gun is successful, they learn—to their horror—that Ron, who now has the gun, is a homicidal maniac and that Carrington is his guardian.

Martin and Fran Halliday seek refuge from a storm in a secluded beach house. Their peace is shattered when Ronnie Prentice, a nervous young man, shows that his sinister companion, Joe Carrington, plans to kidnap him for ransom. The Hallidays and Ronnie must struggle against both the storm and Carrington's threatening presence.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
