Jane Eyre
The classic love story of Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester is dramatized in a new adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's immortal novel. The mystery surrounding Thornfield Hall, the appearance of Bertha Mason, and Jane's return after Rochester's blinding and the destruction of the Hall, constitute the main story of the dramatization.
A fresh version of Charlotte Bronte's timeless book brings the famous romance between Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester to life. The story focuses on the secrets hidden at Thornfield Hall, the arrival of Bertha Mason, and Jane's comeback after Rochester loses his sight and the Hall burns down.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
