Jobo

The discovery of a strange metal statue of an Easter Island god stirs Professor Tillotson's interest in an expedition to the distant isle. His daughter Alma becomes involved in the mystery of Jobo, a young man with the strength of legends and a striking resemblance to the statue, who is also the last descendant of an alien race.

After reading a newspaper article about Jobo Haley, a Tennessee hillbilly who looks like one of the very tall, very slender stone statues found only on Easter Island, archeologist John Tilletson organizes an expedition to the Pacific paradise, while his daughter Alma heads for Tennessee. Both discover identical objects: shiny silver medallions previously unknown to archeologists. Only Jobo and an Easter Island common thief are able to explain the historical significance and the astonishing relationship of the two strange objects.

Professor Tillotson finds a weird metal figure of an Easter Island god and wants to travel to the faraway island to learn more. His daughter Alma gets caught up in the puzzle surrounding Jobo, a strong young man who looks just like the statue and has incredible power from old stories. Jobo turns out to be the final member of a family that came from outer space.
