Just One More Day
In a small American town, longtime cop Edward Mason, known as Eddie to everyone, works his final shift before hanging up his badge after twenty-seven years on the force. His peaceful life turns upside down when the same nightmare keeps coming back - a dangerous face-off that ends with someone getting shot. When that exact moment happens for real, Eddie learns how precious every single day really is.
In a American town, veteran police officer Edward Mason, affectionately called Eddie, is on his last patrol before retiring after twenty-seven years. His tranquil world shatters when he repeatedly dreams of a confrontation ending in a gunshot. When the moment finally comes, Eddie realizes the value of each day.
A retiring patrolman dreams he'll use his revolver on his final day. A woman on his beat spots a wanted criminal, leading to events that make confrontation seem inevitable.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
