Key To Murder

At a cozy boarding house, a tenant dies and two people are mysteriously killed in locked rooms, making everyone in Rachel's neighborhood scared and suspicious. While Lieutenant Forbes tries to solve the case, it's Rachel's friend Minerva who finally reveals the secret of the sealed rooms, even though she's been hiding her own guilt.

Mrs. Rachel James fears she must sell her old brownstone house since two of her boarders have been found dead in their rooms—apparent suicides, the gas heaters turned on, the doors and windows locked from the inside. But the police, when they discover that each was unconscious before the gas asphyxiated them, suspect murder. Before he can make such a charge stick, however, Lt. Forbes must figure out how the murderer was able to lock the doors and windows from the inside.

In a warm, boarding house, the death of a tenant and a mysterious double killing in sealed rooms bring fear and suspicion to Rachel's community. Although Lieutenant Forbes investigates, it is finally Rachel's friend Minerva, who has been concealing her own guilt, who shows the mystery of the locked rooms.
