Maiden Ladies
While performing the deed of a Good Samaritan, a young man is brutally slain while assisting a wealthy man with a flat tire. His aunt takes matters into her own hands when the local police refuse to pursue the case.
A young man gets murdered while helping a rich stranger fix his flat tire. When the cops won't investigate, his aunt decides to hunt down the killer herself.
Police Lt. Settles dismisses Paul Bennett as a suspect in the murder of his business partner because the same gun was used to kill a young Eagle Scout, seeming to exonerate Bennett. But the dead youth’s aunt, Emma Penrose, isn’t convinced. Concerned the police aren’t getting anywhere, she takes it upon herself to crack the case.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
