Markheim: Man Or Monster?
A man pursues inheritance and marries a young woman through deception to achieve wealth and status.
Karl Markheim is a master manipulator who tricks and cheats everyone to get what he wants. When his wealthy uncle cuts him out of the will, he decides to torment his wife and her father to steal their money, completely unaware that a mysterious person is watching everything from behind a mirror.
Karl Markheim is the ultimate anti-hero as he manipulates and swindles everyone around him to get his ends. He is left out from the will of his rich uncle and decides to torture his wife and her father for money, blithely unaware of the strange figure who witnesses all from behind a mirror.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
