Mata Hari
The story of Mata Hari, a stunning German spy whose beauty hid deadly secrets during World War I, and how her dangerous life came to an end.
Mata Hari, known throughout Europe for her exotic dance act, is recruited by the Kaiser’s intelligence unit to spy on the Allies. Desperately in love with a Russian colonel, she offers her services as a double agent to France for a $1 million. France accepts, but now the dancer is trusted by no one and hunted by all. The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong.
A tale about the life and death of the most deceptively beautiful German spy in the history of World War I, Mata Hari.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
