My Good Name

A young artist abandons his love for art to chase fame as a fashion designer, but his money-hungry accountant kills him. A newspaper reporter teams up with the police to get justice for the murdered man.

In the pursuit of becoming a famous couturier, a young artist gives up his passion only to be murdered by his greedy accountant. In order to seek justice for his friend, the police are aided by an investigative journalist.

Waldo Trent was at the top of the fashion world when he was found shot to death in his Manhattan apartment, apparently having surprised a burglar. But reporter Helen Harper, a friend of Waldo’s since he was an unknown artist, suspects something else. The only problem is finding some evidence to support her instinct.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
