Joe Vinacelli is obsessed with murdering Joe Vincent. The latter goes into therapy to seek help as we slowly understand that the pursuer and the pursued are the same individual. But things get creepy when Vincent gives both his therapist and himself - the slip.

Joe Vinacelli wants to kill Joe Vincent. Joe Vincent starts seeing a therapist for help, but we slowly learn that the hunter and the target are actually the same person. Things turn scary when Vincent escapes from both his doctor and himself.

A wealthy Wall Street businessman experiences unexplained blackouts and awakens in cheap hotels with threatening messages written on mirrors. Believing he is attempting suicide due to guilt over his wife's fatal car accident, he consults a psychiatrist. The doctor becomes alarmed when the patient disappears with a straight razor.
