Natural Sugar

Actor Emmett Brundage, co-starring with his wife Louisa in a play about murder, is actually poisoned on stage. The investigation of police Captain Altman uncovers a whole cast of suspects who would like the cranky actor dead. But one suspect has the most convincing motive of all: self-defense.

A police detective has to examine every possibility to catch the murderer after an actor dies during a theater performance.

When an actor turns up dead in the middle of a play, a police detective must sift through all the scenarios to find the killer.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
