Ninety Lives
A brother doesn't trust a man who claims he lost his memory, so he investigates the stranger his waitress sister has fallen for.
Suspicious of his motives, a brother does a background check on a supposed amnesia victim that his waitress sister has taken a fancy to.
Just as Muldoon and his sister Shirley are about to close up their diner for the night, a well-dressed but penniless man walks in. Shirley, whose leg was badly mangled in an auto accident, takes an immediate liking to the man, even though she doesn’t know who he is. When her brother learns that the stranger is a noted linguist who has murdered his wife, Shirley defends him, making it clear to her brother that if the police are to be notified, she will be the one to do it.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
