Charles Powell's perfect world falls apart when blackmailer Clint Livitz shows up and threatens to reveal that Powell is really Robert Hagen, a man who broke out of prison. Powell must tell his girlfriend and her father the truth if he wants to stop the blackmail and save his future.

Charles Powel, executive vice president of a large company and engaged to the bosss daughter, seems to have everything going for him. But Clint Livets, who knows the secret of Charles' past, shows up with a dirty hand and blackmail on his mind.

The good life of ambitious Charles Powell unravels when blackmailer Clint Livitz reappears and threatens to expose his hidden past as Robert Hagen, an escaped convict. Only with a confession to his fiancée and her father can Powell end the torment without destroying his future.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
