Private Stock

A cop fights with his dead wife's spirit when he discovers his daughter killed someone.

Ginnie Turner, beautiful, redheaded and a school teacher, knifes to death a rock ’n’ roll singing star, Bobby Lee Armature, when he insists that she spend the night with his guitar player, Chunky Chapman. Ginnie’s father, a police captain, investigates the slaying and smells, at the scene of the crime, the rare perfume his daughter uses. Additional evidence convinces him that she is guilty, but he can’t bring himself to arrest his own daughter.

A police detective argues with the ghost of his dead wife as he is confronted with the fact that his daughter is guilty of murder.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
