Shotgun Wedding

Machinist Gus Virko decides that Charley Demerest, a co-worker and respectable bachelor, is going to meet and marry the “girl of his dreams”: Gus’ daughter, Elaine. Despite Charley’s protests, Gus insists on taking Charley at gun-point to propose to Elaine, and as if in a dream, Charley falls instantly in love with her. But, suddenly, the whole affair becomes a nightmare when Charley discovers that ten years earlier, Elaine and her first fiancé were killed in a fire started by her jealous father.

Gus, who works with Charlie, asks his thirty-year-old friend to come meet his daughter. Gus thinks Charlie will fall for Elaine right away. When Charlie meets her, he does fall in love. But then weird things start happening. Charlie returns to see the woman he loves, but discovers the house is empty and everyone has disappeared.

Charlie, a man of about 30, is invited by his co-worker, Gus, to meet his daughter. Gus feels that Charlie will fall instantly in love with Elaine. When Charlie meets her, he does fall in love with her. Then things begin to get strange. Charlie goes back to visit his beloved, but he finds the house and its occupants gone.
