Small Money

A professional golfer kills his wife after she starts making more money than he does. His pride gets hurt every time he thinks about how he was the one who got her interested in golf to begin with.

A pro golfer finds himself murdering his wife when she begins to start earning more money than him. His ego takes a beating every time he remembers that he was the one who sparked her interest in the game in the first place!

Professional golfer Stan Standish regretted the day he taught his librarian wife, Suzy, to swing a club. Her native ability soon overshadowed his own, and he dropped out of the circuit to become her manager. When Suzy is found murdered, no one suspects Stan. But then he can’t resist making a few dollars more, using something only the murderer would have available.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
