Snake in the Grass

Professor Augusta Sanderson vents anger about colleague Dr. Eugene Howells taking credit for her work. She says it's justification to kill him. After Howells is murdered, she's arrested - gun was hers, footprint at scene, though she's innocent.

After discovering a new kind of clover, a female scientist magnanimously allows her colleague to take credit for the find. When he turns up dead, all evidence point to her. When she is accused of his murder, a smitten detective works to prove her innocence.

A woman scientist finds a new type of clover but lets her coworker get all the credit for discovering it. When the coworker ends up dead, she becomes the main suspect. A detective who has feelings for her tries to prove she didn't kill him.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
