Stampede
Ellie Tate Gottschalk, her husband murdered by Commanches and their beet crop and buildings destroyed by a stampede, joins a cattle drive on its way to Cheyenne. Because she’s the only woman among a dozen or so rough and ready cowboys, the trail boss foresees trouble ahead. But when it comes and Snake Duveen is the cause (he wants Ellie for himself), the ghost of Ellie’s husband appears. Even Duveen is frightened—for a while.
After Comanches kill her husband and burn down their farm, Ellie Tate Gottenschalk travels to Cheyenne with a cattle drive.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
