Stephanie’s Room
A married woman moves back to her birthplace in New York when her husband is posted there for work. She visits the house she grew up in and meets a childless old lady. They bond in a strange, symbiotic manner as mysterious things happen to her childhood quarters.
A wife returns to her hometown in New York after her husband gets a job transfer. When she goes back to her old family home, she meets an elderly woman who never had children. The two women form an odd, close friendship while strange events begin happening in the rooms where she lived as a kid.
An advertising executive and his wife relocate to New York after brief stays elsewhere. Stephanie moves to suburban Crestwood to revisit her childhood home. The current homeowner's wife permits her to tour her old room, which becomes surprisingly compelling—the room has more attraction for her than either her husband or his career, drawing her back repeatedly.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
